Interpersonal communication
Three programmes for teams that work across Kreol, English, French and the languages of colleagues from abroad: DISC and Driving Forces to read behaviour, the Enneagram to understand motivation, and assertiveness to say difficult things well. Two to three days.

3 trainings

Self-awareness and positive communication
The foundation programme behind most of the others. Two days using DISC and the Enneagram to see your own communication defaults, recognise the situations where they cost you, and build enough flexibility to reach people who work nothing like you.
- Know the 9 base types of the Enneagram
- Know the notions of integration and disintegration

Knowing yourself to communicate better and stand your ground
Knowing how you work is the groundwork for communicating well and holding your position. Three days on the Enneagram: two together, then a third some weeks later once the tools have been tried on real situations and the difficult ones have surfaced.
- Know the key principles of the Enneagram: the 9 base types, and the notions of integration and disintegration
- Know your own personality base type in the Enneagram

DISC and Driving Forces
Two instruments that answer different questions: DISC describes how a person behaves, Driving Forces describes why. Two days, an individual report for each participant, and a worked relationship strategy for the colleagues they find hardest.
- Identify the 4 behavioural styles of the DISC model and their key characteristics
- Analyse your own profile and Driving Forces from the results of the individual assessment
In a Seychellois workplace, communication problems rarely look like shouting. They look like a briefing where nobody objects and half the team then does something else, a criticism passed on through a cousin instead of said to the person, a foreign colleague who stops speaking up after a misunderstanding, a supervisor who cannot say no to someone they will meet at church on Sunday.
Our programmes start from self-awareness, because most people communicate the way they would like to be spoken to, and that suits only part of the room. Participants use DISC and the Enneagram to see their own default style, recognise where it lands badly, and build other ways of saying things that they can use on purpose.
The work is practical and done on real situations brought by participants. In a country where a single meeting can involve three or four first languages and very different ideas of how directly one can disagree, that flexibility is what lets people be understood rather than simply polite with each other.

Frequently asked questions
Which of the three trainings should we start with?
Most teams start with Self-awareness and positive communication, two days using DISC and the Enneagram. DISC and Driving Forces suits a team that wants a shared vocabulary quickly. The three-day Enneagram training goes furthest, for people working on holding their position under pressure.
Are the trainings run in Kreol?
No. Sessions are run in English, French or Spanish. In practice, participants can work in sub-groups in the language they share, including Kreol, and the plenary is held in the session language.
How do these trainings deal with difficult colleagues?
They do not diagnose or label anyone. They give participants ways to keep working productively with behaviour they cannot change: a colleague who agrees in the room and undoes the decision later, one who escalates every disagreement, or one who withdraws entirely.
Can these modules be combined with a management programme?
Yes, and they often are. Many management problems that look like organisation problems turn out to be conversation problems, which is why communication modules are the ones most often added to other programmes.
